Ar-15 buffers and buffer springs- differences?

Can anyone tell me what the difference in the ar15 buffers and springs are? is it the same weight and spring tension but shorter buffer and spring for carbines due to the shorter tube?

I want to say the Carbine buffer is heavier because of the shorter gas system, but I could be wrong.

i need to order parts to complete 2 uppers. Also my 7.62x39 20'' kicks pretty good, not bad but enough to come off the target for a follow up shot. it also appears to skip over a round in the mag from time to time, im wondering if its short stroking and thought a lighter buffer may help. could be just mags though. I wish i could add weight to it somehow other than in the buttstock

i have a full A2 stock but a carbine gas system, works fine. i think the springs and buffers are different for the different buffer tube lengths - if you have a rifle stock, get that buffer, if you have a collapsing stock - get that buffer/spring.

they do have heavier and lighter buffers for each, and from what i understand, its to reduce recoil/help with cycling if the standard doesn't work well for whatever reasons (reloads, etc)

I run an H2 buffer in my carbine. I can notice a difference in recoil from the rifle stock and buffer.

It should. It will slow your cycling speed as well though.

Yeah, kinda crazy but it does. Like was said before, slows down the cyclic rate down as well.

Remember that the buffer is helping to reduce the recoil that results from accelerating a bullet that weights about 1/8 of an ounce.
