Just wondering how many members live close by. As you can see I live right on the beach. Happy to meet new like minded people.

I am between Silverton and Mount Angel. Now if those towns don't ring a bell, they are by Salem. I go to Newport occiasonally to fish. Sometimes I am at that little pier with the icecream store and the kite store pulling a rope hoping theres a crab at the other end. I like the Oregon coast aquarium. The Wax works and Ripleys are silly but fun.

I tell you, in the summer there aint no better place in Oregon than the beach. Unless, of course, your in your back yard, under a tree, drinking a beer.

I need to go to the coast more often, But I also enjoy the great reservoirs we have around here! Haven't spent much time shooting with all the sunny weather we've been having I can't stay off the boat. By the way I'm just west of salem, I don't chime in to often so I thought I'd say hi!:icon_biggrin:

Yeah, I actually live in Monmouth, so Valsetz (or what's left of it) is practically my back yard! Used to do alot of playing around up there before Weyhauser bought out willamette. They have that place under lock and key since all the trash can't keep from vandalizing equipment and shooting signs full of holes.:2pistol: I still like to head up to Valley of the giants once or twice a year for a look around though.

I'll be darned! We're practicly locals together. We just got done logging a unit that you could see part of the valley of the giants up on the ridge. Mabe we could get together some weekend and go shoot some nutria's over in the valley.

That would be great. To be honest though, I've about run out of good places to shoot around here. It's all private or logging land, so I've been going down to Albany Rifle Range lately (I use "lately" loosely, I haven't shot a gun in about 1 1/2 months! Been on the boat every weekend!). But I'm definitely open to suggestions if you've got any ideas!

I have a friend that has a few hundred acres just outside of Albany, with a little creek that has some nutria in it. I'm leaving in a little bit for a couple weeks. I'll pm you when I get back.
