I have a 16" Dissipator with an M4 adjustable stock.
I have ordered a HSS Tungsten buffer and Wolff XP buffer spring from heavybuffers.com to reduce recoil. The recoil was light to me anyhow but I am doing this as I want to reduce recoil as much as possible so my daughters can shoot it with more comfort.
I am wondering if installing a M16 BCG would further help?

If you want to take all recoil away use a tromix shark muzzle brake. I have one and it works really good but it's loud.

How old is you daughter? My 8 year-old grandson has fired my carbine length M4 without any complaining. But he is a boy and a budding gun enthusiast.

One daughter is 11 and other is 14. The 14yo lived with her mom and didn't grow up with guns until she moved with me about 3 yrs ago.
They both love to shoot .22 but I want to get them to move forward.
If a fly lands on the 14yo she says that hurt, well not really but you get the point. She is part tomboy but also timid. She complains that anything larger then .22 kicks too hard. She will burn through 500 rounds like nobodys business and is a fairly good shot.
The 11yo will try anything once. She shoots my CETME from the hip but it is too heavy for her to handle very long. But she is learning control. She uses the laser at about 10 yards and keeps it on a silhouette target. She also shoots it from a bench but only about 5 rounds and she is done due to the recoil. She has wanted to try the Remington 700 06, I told her to wait and try it another time. She too will shoot .22 all day long and does good on her own.
Neither really cares for the 12 ga, guess I need to buy them a 20.
I haven't had time with harvest in full swing to take the girls shooting since I completed the ar. I figure if I get them shooting the ar I may be able to get them moving from just plinking. It would be nice to take them hunting as I did their older (grown) siblings. The 11yo is ready now but I want them both to go together.
Any other ideas / comments greatly appriciated.
BTW, I'm trying to get them off the bench and in the field. Gun rests and sand bags are great but I hope to have them shooting our ever growing coyote population by next spring.

A brake would help the most without making the gun heavier.
