The two holes behind the trigger, looks like there's a sleeve of some kind at the back of the larger one, how important is it? Looks like there's a flange on it too, some kind of spring plunger go in there? What's the smaller hole for? The one I've got looks like it was a small hole and got an 1/8" or so part pressed in partway.

I probably should try to find all the trigger parts, but I figured I'd ask around here first.

i bought mine from "the gun parts guy" it was around $40 or so.

they usually have a sale going for 10% off, just look for the code and also have free shipping sometimes.

A guy on gunboards asked about a US made grip, so I made a couple to see how hard they are. I have one of those Aussie grips and trigger guard too, but I neglected to get the little plunger and plate that goes behind the trigger, so I'm not sure if I'd need to make the sleeve or not - and I'm kinda hoping not, though maybe it wouldn't be too hard.

The guy turned into a tire kicker anyway, so its no big deal, just thought I'd try to finish them up.

if you make some leave the cut out off ( it is for the FA). had i know you were making some i would have waited. maybe next time. there are several people looking for them ( U.S. made for there 922r count).

Yeah, I think a better time to make these ones would have been a few years ago, but they're pretty easy to make. Most of its cutting on a milling machine - as long as we're down 1 machinist at work no one seems to mind my getting wood chips all over it.

These are really so quick to make, I think I'm going to do a run of 10 or so in a couple different woods and see where they go - since there's very little hand shaping to do - unlike the other grips I've been making - I should be able to make that many in a couple days and sell them fairly cheap.
