This is the first time I've seen one taken apart. It doesn't look a whole lot like an HK33 internals.

Did-dent read that right thought you had one! Looks like the bolt carrier is the somewhat inverse of the HK. Internals of the trigger pack look less complicated which means less to go wrong with simple soldiers wonking on them.

That's about enough tonight...droool...I want one sooo bad! Why can't we get them here! Strange they would make the trigger guard removable?

Maybe it was for modification for winter triggers? Although I can't really imagine the Spainish Army fighting through the snow like the Russians or Finnish.

But yeah, curious why Century wasn't able to bring over these even as parts kits.

I heard they did. Could just be waiting on receivers and compliance parts.

The T48 (H&R produced FAL) trials rifle had a trigger guard that was removable for winter operation. For the CETME-L, maybe they hoped to export them to colder climates, or ease of take down, or maybe ease of production (or cheaper production). Your guess is as good as mine on the triggerguard.
