I'm sure this was touched upon in the old forum but I have a chance to buy a little bit of the Winchester White Box ammo in 7.62x51. It's headstamp has the NATO cross on it so I would assume the brass is tough enough to use
in CETMEs and other G3 type of guns. However, I wanted to check with you
guys first.
Anyone run this stuff? Its expensive but the way the 308 ammo
situation has been going there aren't a lot of alternatives.

I got 1000 round of that Federal. Shoots great, Brass is Mil Spec and Boxer primed. If you use a in medium table load and a 147g you can get lots of fun out of that brass!! It's good to 500 meters too. :D

headstamp is good to go in a CETME. (Well, except for Indian OFV ammo)
THat's the hi-quality recent issue milsurp stuff, too.
I just hope a new 762NATO source presents itself soon...or I'll be buying Pakistani...if there's even any more of that around...
I still like the Portuguese, Aussie, and South African...the S. African was shooting sub moa groups at 100yds with my buddy's scoped Kimber.

Thanks for the replys. I was suspecting it would be as good as mil-spec
surplus but wanted to verify. Now the only hard part is paying the high cost of it.
