Ok, so I was supposed to visit my parents yesterday after work to help my dad with a few things. Dad is currently awaiting an operation on his back and can't lift over 20 lbs, so I've been helping out alot around the house. Well with an exam yesterday after a 9 hour workday I asked if I could wait until today, and he said that'd be fine.

Well I go home today and after finishing up his stuff he showed me a local trading magazine he's picked up and said check out the gun section theres something that'll make you happy in it. Well I open it up and the first thing I see is an add for a Cetme here where I live, and thought thats kinda cool, but I've got a few other things I want before another cetme project. I flip through the rest of the section and found a Spas 12 listed for 400....I jumped because its my favorite shotgun, and one of the things left on my "to own" list. I unfortunately didn't have the cash for it, but when I mentioned seeing it dad actually offered to buy. "You've helped out a ton while I've been out of work, and the last two guns you did buy were for me (Ruger Blackhawk and a Winchester centennial lever 30-30) so I'll get it if you want it"

I'm excited to no end, and we called the guy selling it only to find out he sold it earlier that day to somebody that called the night before... So yea always go home the day you say you will. :056:

$400 bucks seems kinda low, like half price or better.

I was thinkin the same as well, when i talked to the guy he didn't seem to really know anything about the stuff he had he just wanted an extra 400 bucks cause thats what he needed to get an AR, asked what I shot and told him Cetme and AK mainly. He didn't know what a cetme was, or a G3/HK 91 as I explained they were similar...think he just knew he wanted an ar-15 and he had this shotgun he'd gotten from his family

Don't sweat it man. If there is one thing I have learned in collecting, it is, if you wait long enough, and look hard enough, you will find the one you want. Good luck to you!
