has any one seen the g3 hk91 fifty round drums? i was looking around on robertrtg.com and ran across them. i got to figure out how to post these links one day. it is a really cool looking drum. he doesn't say anything about them fitting the cetmes but i know for a fact some of you guys can make it happen. but at 395 each i might have to wait a little while to get one for my h&k, i am just about ready to order my scope for my new toy and just can't turn loose the cash right now.

Those drums have a long and bumpy history from the HKPro forums. The real HK 50 round drums are extremely rare and can command up to $1,000 for one, I believe HKParts.net has an official drum for that price.
The ones on RobertRTG are from a company that decided to make a copy of the drum at a more affordable price. Sounds good on paper but it took several years and some poor business practice by the company before they finally released the finalized drums. So far from what I've read they're good drums and all, and for the price they're much cheaper than a real HK drum.

50 rnd drum - $395
20 rnd mag - $1.25
x3 = $3.75 for 60 rounds.
$395
-$3.75
-------
$391.25
time to change a mag, 5 sec, being generous.
2 mag changes= 10 sec = 10/3600 hrs =1/360 hrs
$391.25 per 1/360th hrs = $140,850.00 per hr.
by my math, that make my time to change mags worth over $140k/hr.
so when i feel that my time is worth more than $140,850.00/hr, ill consider one. but keep in mind, thats comparing 50 rnds to 60, so even at that youd be behind.
thats my take on it. and fwiw, this post took about 5 min to do, so i should be rich by now :p
