it used to be fully automatic CETME A but they welded a piece of metal inside the barrel :(
anyone knows where to get a barrel in Belgium :)

My first question would be leagality of ownership of such a weapon there. I know here it would be illegal to return it to fireing, without conversion to sa and maybe 922r conserns, which you dont have there(922r).

I think the barrel is the easy part from almost any vendor, if it could be send over seas. or even if arniz has one he might be able to send it from spain. (There might be "a" barrels available in europe, and I am guessing some sort of later model cetme barrel might work or even g-3 barrel might be able to be used, with some fitting to the trunion setup in your rifle).

I think legality is the more pressing issue.

P.S. This thing is a highly collectable, historic firearm even in the state its in, I imagine rebarreling would kill its value too.

the barrel on the A is not like the B, C, or any other barrel

the barrel on the A1 and A2 models screw in

the parts for the A1, and A2 are impossible to find because this firearm was never issued as a front line weapon. it is basically an experimental gun

you will probably be able to buy a barrel blank, or a barrel from another gun and have it turned down to the same profile as the cetme a barrel, and then threaded correctly, but i highly doubt anyone will find a spare A barrel anywhere.

with the right modification anything can be made to fit i guess, but indeed, wont be legal i guess
but im still looking for the magazine that would fit on it to give it a complete look

Without knowing the laws there I'd say just enjoy it as a display piece. Cool gun none the less...

That's a very nice rifle you have. I can't believe one of these guys hasn't PM'd you to come and take a look first hand. Two things are a plus: That's a nice rifle and Belgium has the best beers in the world!

I have NO BARRELS .
Barrels are considered in Spain like the full weapon, so subject to decaration and documentation. Illegal owner of a full auto barrel is aconsifered like the full gun, that means a minimum of 6 years "a la sombra" ( Free VIP federal club residence).

looks like it would probably fit in there for display... might even lock in, the mag catch is in just about the same place. I wonder if its legal to own a 20 rounder there though????
