I mentioned in another thread that my dad had put together a semi-auto clone of his USMC Vietnam service rifle .... here it is:

that is awesome! I bet it really stands out at the range too. I really like the "classic" look to it... well, as "classic" as an AR can get anyways :)

Neat. I'll bet he enjoyed shooting it. I remember the look on my Dad's face when I showed him the M1 garand I bought--he hadn't handled one since WWII.
