I know there is still GP11 to be found, but for an off the shelf cartridge, what do you guys like in 7.5x55 as an alternative to GP11?

How does the Privi 174gr FMJ stack up to GP11? As it seems reasonable in price and gives the benefit of Boxer primed brass for later. (I thought Wolf gold was this stuff just re-labeled?)

I will continue to buy GP11, as I am more than happy with how it performs (and I am already dialed in for it). But just thinking ahead, because the K-31 is one that always finds its way to the range somehow, and would like to keep with that tradition for years to come. Thanks.

The only thing I've tried in my K-31 so far besides GP-11 is Wolf Gold soft-points. It seems reasonably accurate, but I've only fired like 5 rounds of it so I can't accurately compare the two. At the time it was considerably more expensive than GP-11 was, so I only purchased 1 box and I only plan on using it if I decide to take my K-31 hunting.

No, I'm not very helpful. :icon_razz:

Thanks OP. What range was that at by the way? I am in Waukesha, and I am always wanting to know where more ranges are.

Dewey Range north of Point. I haven't been there in years, they don't like "our kind," as in people who aren't sighting in deer rifles.
