Ummm, once that receiver is bent beyond the as-shipped form, I.E Bent in ANY way, it is now an FFL item.

I'd be careful sending that as a non-ffl item.

The guy I got it from sent it directly to me via ups. Told me it was less than 80%. I don't really know. I will just edit and send it to an ffl, If Turbo says its a no go. Thanks for looking out for me.

I'm going by the last discussion I had with the alphabet boys on "flats". As-examined determines if it's an FFL item or not. If modified from "as examined"(as in bent in any way other than how the flat sent for exam arrived at the BATFE office) it's no longer a "Non Receiver" and subject to all applicable laws or re-examination to determine it's "receiver-ness"

When dealing with those letter agencies, I tent to err on the side of caution.

Not a problem. I'd hate to see a builder get screwed for misinformation or ignorance(not saying you are, but..) of the law.

I know with the AK flats, ANY bend makes it no longer a "non-receiver" and subject to FFL transfer. I'd assume any flat is the same way.

Easy way to deal with it is to keep or destroy the bent flat. Your parts lot will have a larger market, without the FFL transfer.
