If you will settle for an M53 kit, they are fairly plentiful right now. Try centerfire, seems like they were $199 or so.

Raccoon, what are you looking for exactly in a 42 kit? Are you looking for a 3 cut receiver, a 4 cut receiver or Yugo M53 kit missing everything but the barrel shroud?

On the MG34s...have your tried BRPguns.com ? I don't know of anyone else who still has them.

I am really looking for an MG 34 kit that I can eventually get a Semi Auto receiver for and put it all together legally.

I would really rather try and get a WW2 German MG 42 kit if I went that route.

I am just starting to read about it and dont know what all is required yet.

I would really like to start off with getting a good MG 34 parts kit right now.

BRP is the only source of 34's I know of...if they still have any.

As far as a WW2 42 kit, you need to comb gunbroker and www.42.us . Expect to pay $900-$1500 for a WW2 kit.

I picked up a nice 3-cut German kit a couple months ago off mg42.us. I paid closer to the higher end of Tankers estimates. It was a pile of cash but I'm happy with the outcome. To me it was important to get a german kit as opposed to a yugo. Just adds some historical value to it. Robertrtg has some nice tripods with optics for a good price as well.
