HK wide handguard on a cetme [Archive]

I`m finally getting around to installing the wide handguard with bipod mount on my cetme. I see it will have to be modified and I found some threads with a few pics. It showed a slot ground to fit over the ring in ft. On mine it also looks like it will have to be ground a little so it will fit over the raised groove on the sides of the mag well, but I just saw a pic of one on an HK and it looked like it wasn`t even close to that rib, like mine is a little longer? I also see I can`t use the screw form the cetme and I need a pin. I saw on rtg`s site there is an HK91 ft handguard pin (small) for 2 bucks. Is that the right one? And is there anything I can substitute for that pin without it looking hack?

Yes that small pin from RGT is the right one. I dont know about a substitute. If your receiver is a cast reciever then yes you do also have to releive the back of the H/G. Its designed to fit stamped receivers.
