Did anyone else see this??? How tragic! There's still videos being put up constantly as the Olympic people keep taking them down... Man, what a way to go. Flying into a pole at 90 mph!

I won't post a link to a video here, but its not hard to google it to see it if you want. There's not a whole lot to see in the video except a flash of him flying over the wall. But the AP pics leave less to the imagination.

sad to have something that tragic happen so soon . just getting started and something like this had to happen.

some have said the pole was not padded, at 90mph slamming into with your back first, wouldn't have mattered if it had 3 ft of padding, its sad but some of the sports really are dangerous

Padding wouldn't have saved him, but the 6' walls they built would have.
