Thsi is where I am with my $29.00 Centerfire Systems GEW 88. I have a forearm replacment thanks to my dads know-how in the woodshop. Not a bad match, the stock ceterfire sent me was busted off at the barrel band. Now I just need a butplate front, barrel band swivels and screws. By the way I can show off the improvements to my wood shop. I work on stocks and other wood projects in there to keep my reloading room clean. (My wife did most of the painting)

Looks great! There are some of the missing pieces you need on Ebay right now and Numrich has buttplates for about $5.00.
Mine is finished except for some final coats or Teak oil on my stock. I used walnut verneer to cover up most of my stock, it turned out pretty nice. My OWS stock was so beat up and chipped that it looked like a big animal had been using it for a tooth pick.
Hopefully I'll be able to get to the range in a couple of weeks for a test firing, although I really need to check the head space first. I haven't been able to find anyone locally with gauges. I guess I'm gonna have to buy my own.

XO .. Thanks but I think I am going to try Numrich on Monday for the butt plate. At $5 bucks you can't loose. Smoke do you have the front barrel band stacking swivel assembly?

You mean this one? I might have one or access to one I gave a buddy of mine some parts to use on his GEW88. I don't know if he used it or not, let me check with him and see.

hey i have a buttplate you can have
i bought 3 made one excellent condition shooter, stocks were cracked really bad and missing wood so i cut off the butts and saved them for making things out of the walnut. One still has a buttplate on it, but the screws are kinda nasty

That's some nice work you have done there, and that wood shop looks very nice and organised. :) I need to get mine cleaned up so I can get back to work in it.
