My Aunt found these in an old house she cleaned out. Some are rare British newspapers all from June to August 1944
One is the from June 6th 1944, the others talk of RAF 'Metor' jets Vs the V1 Flying bomb. Also there is a rare photo of the then new Helicopter in service ( June 1944)
there were mountains of Stars and Stripes newspapers. There is a inflight photo of a V1 . The June 6th thru 28th KIA report of the British US and Canada was staggering the British alone had 1128 , Canada 919 and this was just in France

Those are neat.

I found some old newspapers a while back also. They laid the papers under some nanolium flooring I was pulling up. I saved them. They were still in great condition from the time the battle of Stalingrad was in progress. Even the ads etc. are interesting to me.

I'm in the process of pressing great grandad Fritz's papers flat from WW1..I'll have to get pix when theyre all flat. they were folded into a small soap tin that was in his wwI ruck.
