need a upper

Hey guys just bought a double star complete lower today at the un show and was wondering where the best place to et a 16 " car. length upper . I know i want 5.56 and chrome lined but really dont know what is a good quality for the price. Any advice would be great.

Just make sure you get the bolt and carrier, and charging handle.
A lot of the uppers don't include them.

I have used Model 1 and M&A and they both are nice pieces.

Thank you. found the one, Know just have to save a little money over the next couple weeks and then post some pics. Bad as i hate too seen some aimpoint clones on ebay and think i might mount that on it and see how it works.

I went with William Snelling at the Tannery Shop (tanneryshop.com)

he's a great guy to deal with, very helpful, communicative. I ordered a Varmint upper, and the barrels were on back order from his supplier, but it should be here sometime this week. Ive seen/heard really good things about his work, and will post a review here once I get my upper.

For 16" carbine stuff, there's TONS of places out there that all seem to be of decent quality... beware of model1 and M&A as far as customer service goes is the only catch Ive heard about them. typically the stuff is decent that they put out, but if its not or it has problems, supposedly its hell trying to get them to make it right.

I can't wait til my upper comes in.. Ive already got a crap load of handloaded rounds ready to go... had to fill my time with some hobby while I wait for the new upper!

i bought the lower from del ton at the raleigh gun show and it will probably take till august to save the money for the rest so i may just have to wait and see them again, they where very nice in person and very patient for the amount of people at the show.

just ordered a 16" upper,flattop with phantom flash hider and freefloat tube ,got a great deal on it, now just waiting for it to come in. And ordered from del ton online. So now time to whittle sticks for a couple weeks. pics as soon as it comes in
