I was skimming sarco's website last night planning on doing a order for some parts and saw that they had a listing for 10 1911 barrels that had the top bridge torched off for $40. I was thinking those would make a great project barrel if you wanted to make a liberator pistol reproduction or something like that. depending on if the chamber was touched at all or not. I have no clue what the real condition of these barrel are in but it might make for some interesting project pcs.
And as far as I can tell the top bridge guides the barrel a little bit and keeps dirt from getting in that area..It does not support any part of the case that is left unsuported else where. Or am I looking at that in the wrong light? :flame:
