So, I thought I'd celebrate my C&R license (when I get it) with my favorite old battle rifle. I grew-up on Galipoli movies with diggers and their Enfields! Oh, and Breaker Morant .... Rule Three-Oh-Three!

Was looking at a few Lithgow Enfields on Gunbroker, but they seem awefully pricey.

Any suggestions where I should be looking abd what a reasonable price might be?

cheres!

What about the No.1s that AIM are currently flogging? I presume they are Indian refinishes .... are they any good?

I have a Ishy from Century. It's a good shooter. It's the second from the left.

i picked up a couple of NO.4 MK 1 enfields on saturday at the gun show. i got them for $100 each, just couldn't pass them up. they have a very nice patana on them both early 40's rifles, ( one is marked M-24, got to look that up) stocks are very nice on both of them and the bores look super.
