Hi Folks,
I am new to this forum and look forward to getting much needed advise on some topics. I have been a collector of military firearms for over 30 years, mostly bolt guns, Now onto new stuff:icon_biggrin:

I recently purchased a Cetme. It had the black composite stock and I wanted to change it over to wood. I was able to purchase a complete HK stock with the rear receiver plate and buffer and spring. In other words its a slip on???
I did read a few articles that said I would need to change out the buffer and replace it with the Cetme. Then I read all I needed to do is take a small amount of material off of the nylon spring guide and it would be good to go.
HELP.
Thanks folks, and pls forgive me being a rookie at my age.

Otis is correct, just a small amount of sanding to the nylon spring guide should make it fit. Alternatively, you could replace it with the metal spring guide from the CETME stock. Either method works.

FYI: You might already be aware of this, but the US-made black composite stock on the CETME was used to make the rifle 922r compliant. By replacing it with a foreign-made HK wood stock set, you will be in violation of 922r unless you replace two other foreign parts with US-made ones.

Welcome to the site, 50 BMG! :icon_biggrin:
When I have switched stocks in the past I put the metal Cetme spring guide on the HK one.

Thank you all for the welcome and help. Also for the reminder of the 922r. I actually replaced 3 other parts with US made parts but that kind of reminder is always welcome
