Just thought I would say hi. Ive been lurking around here for a year or so between this board and the old CETMERIFLES .com . I am the proud owner of a CETME rifle from Century. Lots of teething problems . scope mounts, etc.
Most of the problems seems to be solved at this point. The gun is topped with a tapco mount and a simmons 3x9x50 scope. The gun shoots better than I can.
I am currently trying to work up good hand loads for CETME. So far everthing is hitting paperand no overt signs of case seperation or other cycling problems. I am using mil spec brass mostly Lake city . the bullets are 150 gr. FMJBT some are Hornady and other are GI pull down 147gr FMJBT. Powders so far are H 380 and A 2700. I wil keep you posted.
BTW the North Texas thing is The Wichita Falls area.
I am also working toward a YUGO mauser M24/47 scout rifle . I want to keep it in 8mm but the jury is still out as to whether or not I will rebarrelit to .308.
Any advice and comment is wecome.
Dave
