I'm surprised they (the media) ran that story being that it showed the truth and didn't support their anti-gun views. Glad they did though. I just hope lots of folks seen it on TV.

I am not too keen on having a law on the books REQUIRING every household to have a gun, but at least they do not enforce it.
But it is nice to have the media being neutral, and reporting the truth on such a touchy subject.
And it is true, criminals DO look for easy (read: UNARMED) citizens.
My neighbors have seen me carry my rifles out of my house and place them into my car.
I have had no problems since. ( I have had 2 break-ins before anyone knew that I had rifles in the house).
Once again-an unfortunate incident has made us all as responsible gun owners look like lawless people. Thank god that 20/20 was unbiased!

when the man said "What would you rather have, a gun or a phone? You can call the police and they can take pictures of your dead body." the reporters eyes got big, I think he understood that well. couldn't help but laugh.
I was also glad to see that news report. We don't see that kind often enough, it's always about how the person used a gun to kill. We had a military shoot here last month and the only reporter there was from a college, although the other newspapers were informed about it, apparently since it wasn't about someone getting killed it wasn't worth their time.

I sent that to a personn I argued gun control with for 30 mins at a lunch last week. SHe kept saying "I have a fear of this" or fer that a person with a gin will do X" I told her to listen to the guy's anecdote about his ma having a gun, and no fear.

That was very well done. I used to live in Kennassaw and that law does not date back to the 1800, it was passed in the late 80's as Atlanta and all that it brought with it swallowed the little town. Out of all the places on the NW side that place has not been victum to the crime that the rest of the suburbs have suffered because of the crap that spills out of the A T L....
