I would love to have a real, WWII issued Thompson M1 but until I get an extra $25K that I can spend for a gun I'll have to settle for this: AutoOrd (Kahr) M1927 semi-auto carbine...
I have had, in my safe, for 5 years a Vector Arms V93 .223 that never seemed to work flawlessly; disassembly and reassembly was always a pain - lining up the rollers, bolt, etc. was always difficult - as if the rails were too tight. As usual, I got a great deal on the Vector to begin with; $900 out the door; so I did ok today. Here are a few photos; I have to say it is one heavy SOB; 13# empty. Pounce wanted his photo posted too...

Pounce von Ahorn Thal (Pounce of Maple Valley) was whelped at Maple Valley Kennels, Brown City, MI. He has a Chech Grandmother and German Grandmother. His father was a champion Schutzenhund and Pounce was going to be the new stud dog except he grew too tall in the shoulder. He weighs 115#. Initially he is very aloof with people but once he adopts you - well he owns you! With other dogs - not so good; he wants to maim them......he has maybe 3 dogs in the neighborhood that he is friendly with but no others.

I love the cool names of Shepherds... Mine is Sir Ruger Von Orumhaus. And he is a spitting image of Pounce.

Well I don't have a Tommy... Just a Ruger. But I could have sworn that was my dog's brother!

until I get a "third hand" or figure out an easy way to remove the drum magazine I guess I'll stick to the stick magazine (pun intended). The whole gun is new to me; I don't want 230 grain .45 ball ammo flying throuht the air...yet. Of course after having my left knee replaced last Friday, (remember the right knee was done on Jan 12) a bullet to the knee might be less painful right now! I managed to get cellulitis on my left leg and my Achilles Tendon feels like there's a frag grenade wired to it....waiting to blow up. I really don't need my calf muscle cushioning the back of the knee now!

Eva, Max and Heidi.. Now there are some traditional German Shepard Names
My Old German Shepard was named Heidi, My best buds Shepard was named Eva. My other pal named his Big Shepard Max... When I brought home a very Big Male German Shepard from a rescue his name was 'Bomber But I wanted to call him Kaiser or King.. But my family said no you will confuse him.
His head was like a giant wedge of concrete, he could just break thru a gate or fence by sticking his nose in a gap and push. His big head would just snap the lock. He could do the same with a wood fence board. He could just snap the nails loose. My female Shepard Heidi could climb a step ladder or even a wood rung ladder. She could climb over a wood fence backed with wire by laying her chest on the fence. Throwing her front legs over the top. Then start clawing with her back feet. When she got traction, she would just vault over. Both dogs could use a door knob with their mouth. The female could jump into a open car window from a sitting postion. I would come home and find she had jumped into my GTO and sat there all day waiting to go somewhere when I got home. I swear Shepards are the smartest dogs of them all.
