After my first post asking for information on Century Arms C91. And getting some helpful feedback, I decided to go ahead and buy a C91. I the guy I bought it from said he had never fired it. It looks like new so I kind of believe him. The problem I am having with it is when I pulled the charging handle back and locked it to look at everything, when I released it and pulled the trigger to release the hammer, nothing happened. I charged it again, pulled the trigger and still nothing. I took The FCG out to look at it and could see nothing that looked out of place. I am no gun smith by any means but I know how all the parts are supposed to work. I read the sticky on "G3 Trigger pack disassembly and reassembly" by rustypirate. (great thread bty) After disassembling it and inspecting each part I could find no reason for the sear not catching the hammer. After I got everything put back togeather and tried it nothing had changed. Pull the hammer back and the sear would not catch it. I did notice that the sear spring looked like it was hitting the trigger and not pushing the sear up enough to engage the hammer. Sure enough, when I put pressure on the sear spring and pushed the sear up it made good contact with the hammer and caught it every time. I was looking at RTG for a new spring and saw where you have to modify the full auto sear springs to work as simi auto. My question is, what is that modification. I can't find it in any of the threads. If all that has to be done is to bend the spring so that it doesn't touch the trigger. I can do that to this one and do not need to buy another just so I can bend it. Am I thinking about this correctly, or am I completely off base here. Can some of you guys that have built your rifles from the ground up help someone who doesn't know. Thanks.

Without looking at the spring, my guess is that it was not bent correctly when modified. I just used some of the new springs that were made for the SA FCG, they work real well.
