That is a fine looking pistol, and a good target.

That looks very familiar, almost like this...LOL :D
This a highly modified Armscor, basically the same gun as yours.
I bought it because of my good luck with the 2 RIA Commanders that I have.

Kevin,
That is one of the new RIA tacticals, it comes from the factory with the checkered grips.

My Tactical came with some nice checkered dark wood grips. However, I bought the Cocobolo ones that you see in the photo on Ebay.

A bit of a mystery here...I received an email notification of a post on this thread which isn't here at this time??? That's wierd. Anyway, in the email notification the question asked was whether Armscor and Rock Island are the same. The simple answer, as most of you know, is yes. Armscor makes firearms that are sold under both names and many of the models are identical and all are supported in the USA by their American Sales Manager, Ivan Walcott who works out of their US headquarters in Pahrump, NV.

I also got the same message, very weird unless the poster deleted it after posting. Anyway, Ivan is a great guy to deal with, and just so everyone knows, the Charles Daily 1911's and pump shotguns are also Armscor.
Great firearms at a reasonable price in my opinion.
