I am wanting to set the rivets in my underfolder. I have 7 short non swell head rivets for the trigger guard and grip screw block. Each trunion takes a long swell head rivet. The rear trunion also takes 4 short swell head rivets while the front takes 2 short swell head rivets in the lower holes and 2 slightly longer non swell head rivets in the upper holes. Do i have this correct and what if anything do I need to do to the reciever for the swell head rivets?

Depending on your equipment, you'd use the 'dimple' head of the rivet mashing jig to dimple your receiver rivet holes over the trunnon. Put your trunnions in place and dimple away.
Folks who don't have the fancy jigs usually sacrifice a rivet to the dimple gods..
You could use any round headed tool of the proper size to dimple the reciever (but it'd better be sturdy, cuz the Yugo steel is thick)

To get the dimple in the receiver you can use a large center punch and hammer. If using modified bolt cutters then place a 1/4 steel bearing ball in the dimple instead of a rivet and dimple them that way. I do not have one but I think the akbuilder rivet jig has an attachment for doing them. A method I just read about on AKforum, the guy uses sheetrock screws and a press to make the dimples. He just cuts the length down where it will not stick out the other side and presses until he notices the sheetmetal gives, checks it and makes adjustments from there. I hope this helps.
