AK Mag Issue

The silly PINK AK has a small problem. The bolt it hitting the top of the mag and stopping the bolt from going home. The pic is bad but I think I can shim the selector stop plate to give more room for the mag to lower down a bit. Any input ????

Might get fixed with another mag. AK's and FAL's are similar in that not all mags will fit all rifles they are supposed to. (Even metric/metric and inch/inch with the FALs and mags)

I have tryed 3 mags and they all do the same thing.

check the receiver where the selector stop is riveted on, look from the front to back just inside the mag well. you need to look and see if the receiver is slightly bowed up. if it is, you can take a punch and straighten it out. just make sure to use a large puch to do it and pad and brace everything really well.

Or perhaps it can be fixed with weld material on the stop plate, and slight mods to the mag release.

I'm building an AK right now, and tested it with 3 different mags, from diff countries, and a drum mag.
