ok, i am looking for something thats about 40 inches long so i can pour Kroil (or ed's red in and let entire barreled actions soak. I am wanting something i can use to cover it as well so my whole house/garage doesnt stink! (also to protect from accidental fires) Anyone know anything out there i could buy that would work good?

brownells has a stainless tank, but no cover and its 141 dollars!!!!!!

Go look at the ceramic window boxes at the garden supply store. Feed troughs for fowl might work, too.

How about a large PVC pipe with a cap on one end and a screw top on the other, stand it up in the corner, I bet you could find one 8-10" around.

probably not good, it eats plastic like gasoline on syrofoam

the acetone would likely be hard on the plastic i would think?

Check these places out. I get chemical tanks from them for finishing.
If they don't have what you want at the right price, maybe they'll give info or an idea on what to use.
HDPE tanks work for alot of chemicals. I'll see if I can find my CRC.

well an 6'' stainless tube/pipe with a welded on endcap on one end would work, but probably just as expensive as a tank?

Brownells carries black iron tanks 40" long for $50 just search "bluing tank" I believe that they even carry lids listed as "Tank Cover" for the same price.
