sometimes i think i have too much time on my hands.. i'm working on a 1/35 model right now, and MAN am i spending a lot of time on this one!!
i'm exited to see myself finally work on it, i started it 3 years ago, with the US crashed jeep, and worked on more here and there.
just finished the terrain today and i'm still waiting for the celluclay to dry, i really wanna see it completed soon!!!

Looking good! I really like the weathering on the vehicles.
One question about the composition...are the GI and the soldat KIA, or WIA? The reason I ask, is that the body position of the GI looks like he is just sitting there. His posture just doesn't look right for someone who didn't survive being shot and/or in a collision. Maybe tilting his head back, or slumping him forward would help convey whether he is dead or not. The damage to the jeep looks good. It might be a nice touch to crack the windshield up some, maybe like the GI's steel pot slammed into it, to add some more drama.
If either are just wounded, you might think about adding a medic working on them, or having someone moving to assist at least...since treatment of injuries would be a priority. It looks good, the "story" just is not really clear to me.
I look forward to seeing it completed.

we saw thisa while back, and it seems to be coming along nicely. Good detail work, man! Anybody who makes their own barbed wire is a diorama madman, in my book!

funny that you mention that... the GI on the jeep was actually the miniature i started off with a couple years back. i made it, but never really put it in anything. i was pretty pissed off at myself when i weathered that thing, cause... see i cracked the window with the bullet holes, AND put windshield wiper stains on it, THEN, like an idiot, i overweathered it and now you can't see it. i don't know, at this point i just didn't want to mess with the jeep anymore. the thing had been sitting around for 3 years so i just wanted to put it all together
thanks for the advice, seriously, it's bad that it's so noticable, but... hehe i think i'm just getting unpatient with it now..

That's pretty neat...nice job on the detailing and weathering  . I used to build a lot of WWII models. I still buy them from time to time (got boxes full of them in my basement) but never seem to find the time to build them anymore.
Guess I'm more of a collector at this point than a builder. Maybe someday I can get around to doing some again. I really miss it as it's fun and relaxing to me. Model building is a great stress reliever.

Henry that is an outstanding job, you are far above my ability. The detail on the figures is 1st class as is the weathering. I could never make realistic looking battle scenes. I allways had them eating lunch, reading a map or fixing something. Again that is an A number one set up you have there.
You should be proud of your work..
