I'm still fairly new the whole optic arena. Mostly familiar with Russian PSO and POSP scope and standard US hunter models from Bushnell, BSA, Barska etc.
Here's a couple of rare optics that caught my eye (no pun intended). I don't own them, they're costly as is.
A Hensoldt Z-24 with a BLITS mount for flat-top and picatinny rails. Am I the only one who thinks it looks like it belongs on the Pulse Rifle from Aliens? Other than the rare mount, it's a standard Z-24 found on the HK G3.

The Russian 1P59 "Giperon" Scope. Supposedly the new current issue scope on the Dragunov's and their other long range rifles.
Interesting story on it though. I had asked Kalinka Optics on the possibility of obtaining one. Initially they said they will contact someone and find out. Few days later they emailed saying they could obtain one but for a total price of $6,000 USD. Most of the cost came for finders fee from the contact in Russia.
This scope is forbidden for export because it's current military issue. I have seen one member on the AK forum with one, although he hasn't mentioned exactly how he got it.

I bought a Israeli mauser sniper rifle, that didn't have to optics, I finally found one in Israel. I hated sending that much money over seas, well for me it was allot, I'm a cheap bastard ($700), I got the scope OK.

Nice, those are Nimrod scopes if I remember correctly. I was talking to the guy at Miltech who does refurb/restore jobs. He had done a few Israeli Mausers and the scope was always hard to find and costly.

Not Nimrod, Wild-Hurrburg or something like that, Swiss... (anything Swiss is always expensive)

Is that meant for the MP5? Looks like a lot of polymer; would seem odd looking on a G3.

Nice. I loved the OEGs, but they did give a headache after a while.

HK G36/SL8 Hensoldt Dual Optic
No longer in production according to HK; they replaced it with a single optic using a picatinny rail atop the tube for mounting a Zeiss Red Dot.
I have one for my G36 clone and it's an interesting optic. I'll try to do a review when I go to the range.

Are you talking about that one on HKPro a while back? The guy never returned my PM's at all but marked the thing as sold. Don't know who got it; really wished he would have replied.

Yea,that was the one I was talking about. I thought you were the one that got it. I was working on a trade with him and then he said it was no longer available. I saw that you were the next one that inquired about it, so I thought it was you. hmmmmm. Too bad ,it was a good looking set

I thought it was you who got the set since you had the first reply to the thread. Ah well I wish the seller would have been forthright and responded to the posts in his thread rather than a "phantom PM" from another member who didn't bother to post. :icon_neutral:

An Iraqi Tabuk Sniper Scope.
This one has been on gunbroker for ages now. Not sure how this thing got to the US considering the days of "war trophies" has been a thing of the past but I guess some soldiers find ways. Would be a nice addition to a Tabuk clone build but the price is a bit off-setting. :icon_neutral:
