Gone from the safe a Springfield '03 Mk 1 that had been sporterized barrel cut, crowned, blued; stock cut and rounded just before the sling swivel; included a cheap 3x9 scope on a B-Square mount that installed in place of the magazine cut-off.

Into the wonderful world of Tim's 1911s, yet another Rock Island Armory 1911A1; this time a black parkerized 9mm 1911A1FS (I assume that means full size).

Here's the RIA Family portrait; the Nickel plated ones are in .45 acp and .38 Super and the black guns are .45 acp and 9mm. I seem to like full sized 1911s. I will post yet another range report when I get a chance to shoot it...

Very nice, I especially like those wood grips. I have to remind myself that these picture threads are telling me to buy one.

Noskov - if the 9mm functions like the .38 Super and the two .45 acp guns then for the money you'd be getting a heck of a deal. The "sticker" price was $424.99; the adjustable rear sight version (9mm) was $450. Well worth the money - they are very reasonbly priced for the money.

Price sounds good on these. What's the capacity on them? Hawaii's hi-capacity law only applies to handguns.

Rock Island Armory 1911A1...sweet.

I'll prolly get one in the next couple years....I love single stack .45s...have 2 of them (Ruger P-90DC and SIG P220).

The .45s are 7/8 depending on magazine; as is the 9mm; I think the .38 Super holds 9.
