Hi all,
I need some more advise tonight.
I have a but stock from an HK G3. It has the recoil spring and buffer on it as well.
I have ground down the rubber retaining ring a bit for a good fit but one issue.
The fit when I slip it on after cleaning it is VERY VERY tight. I can get it to fit with a bit of force from a rubber mallet.
Taking it off is a PIA as I have to hit and hit to get it loose.
Any way of helping this fit so its eiser to take on and off?
THANKS

The receiver grooves on your cetme are probably still rounded? HK stocks are meant to fit on a receiver with squared grooves.
Just a passing thought, since I don't know what type of receiver you have.

i have the same issue but if you polish the inner part to the butt stock that helps.

polish as in buff it, with like micro fine or fine grit sand paper or emory cloth, or even a dremel with a fine stone on it, basicaly your cleaning the inside of the backplate up , you may need to go from the front of backingplate up into it about 1 1/2 to 2 inches

I had the same trouble when I first put my G3 stock on my Cetme, it was so tight I had to stand on it and hit it with a rubber mallet to get it off each time. The way I cured it was simply by putting the stock on and taking it off....a hundred times or so. I also wiggled the stock left and right as I went, on the end of the receiver, to 'fit' it. It now fits perfectly, nice and snug but easily removable with one hand.
