Is there a way to keep from having the board mark threads as read when my "last visit" time gets reset? I sometimes don't have time to read all the new posts, and it's sometimes hard to filter out whats new. This is also keeping me from being able to click the "last read" button in long threads.

Thanks,

Robert

Click Quick Links in the upper right part, right under your name. Then todays posts. One's you've read won't be bold.

Are you sure thats gonna work? I don't think it will as the board isn't keeping track of the threads I've read. It's marking ALL threads as read if I exceed it's "last visited" thresh hold. This also won't work if I skip a day or two :056: of visiting here.

Oh I see what you did there! Clever.

I think what micro is saying is that as soon as you close the browser, go to another webpage, or "wait" too long, the forum software automatically marks everything read.

I'm going to play around with the "todays posts" tool. I've never used it before. I usually use "new posts" and "Mark all Read"

Its not marking them as read, as much as saying these are new since you have been here last, thus when you get loged out by inactivity or such, they only mark the new ones.

I'm pretty sure it didn't work this way before the upgrade. Threads were marked as unread until you took some action.
