First I want to say that this is a great site and I really want to thank M1 Tanker and all of the moderators for your hard work.
Now for my question: I have found that once I post a pic in any reply if I later try to post the same pic in another thread a message comes up stating that I have already posted the pic else where and it does not allow me to post the pic. Is there a way around this as it is often quite useful to be able to post the same pics in different threads to help answer questions and it is often not convenient to put a link to a thread which may be OT just because it has the pic you want to refer to?
Thanks in advance, Warren

Just a guess on my part...but maybe you can just rename the pic so the software doesn't see it as a duplicate? What if you put a 1, 2, 3, etc. after the pics name?

I tried the rename trick once before and failed (same error message). Instead I just converted them to gif and it worked.
/have you tried the post from url instead of rehosting the entire image?.
Lemme know what web browser you are using and I can write a cheat sheet for you.

Ditto!
I use internet explorer. I have several folders of Cetme and HK related pics in the my pictures folder on my computer and that is where I attach my pictures from. I never had this problem on the old board. I really like the fact that you can attach a photo right from your computer and do not have to host it anywhere first.

I had the same thing happen to me a few days ago. I'm not caddy enough to try to rename them or any of that other stuff.

Have you checked you file of attachments in your user cp, it lists what you have uploaded to the board, and I think you can link to there rather than reload the attachment.

Thanks okie shooter, I never noticed the attachment section in the user cp before. However I tried to attach a pic this way also and could not figure out how to do it.
