FAL Noob with his first MBR. A kit-built mongrel with inch and metric parts on an Onyx receiver.
Got interested about 3 months ago and thought I might as well find one. and give it a try. Shoots great and right to POI at 100 yards. Haven't yet gotten to stretch it out yet.
Believe it or not, I found a deal FTF in AL for the rifle.
My primary goal was to have something big to reach out and touch someone if that becomes necessary in the future.
However, I really wanted it to shoot the Fort Benning 3 Gun in heavy metal class this December. That plan is up in the air as I didn't get in straight away this year. # 48 on the waiting list. We'll see.
Found some great mags at Springfield Armory (SAR 4800 mags which are Israeli metric mags still in the original wrappers and cosmoline).
A couple of pix for those who like that sort of thing.
