I built a Yugo M70AB2 last fall on a NDS 100% reciever and I gotta say I love this rifle more than any other gun I own as far as just the overall shooter collection goes. weasel_master sold me the kit

I find the stock is better suited for comfort than that of the wood stocked AK-47's It has a wider butt (gotta love those wide butts) and I think offers a better cheek weld to the stock than the odd shape of the normal AK wood.

It folds down and can fit into a M60 barrel case which is great. My folding M1 carbine used to live in there but now the UF Yugo Does.

When folded it is still easy to control and takes up a lot less space. Mine reasonably accurate I can hit my steering wheel size gong out at 200 yards with it almost every time. I put a wide US carry strap on mine. Easier than most other slings to adjust and it can be made really long as well.

Post some pics of yours

Here's my first Yugo build.

Sorry about the size, the site wouldn't pull it from the URL. Said it was "too big".

Well its an AK but not a 47.... Its my custom Bulgy 74, Yugo underfold mutt. I have fired underfold 47s and did not care for them. I do not care for those stocks with any kind of kick. BUT on a 74 its got no kick at all and so it really nice! I love it. I know its a bubba... but its a pretty bubba. I am working on my blast cabinet now so it will be reparked soon. I am really happy with the way the gun fires. The 74s were made for underfolds... shame they never made them.

Karl E. Hungus-

It depends on where you start and how much many tools you have to work with at the time. I have a full blown blacksmith shop, a 12 ton press and a friend who was willing to help. As far as completed build price goes I'm gonna guess around $350 Kits are hard to find now for the UF's I did a fast search and didnt come up with any.

Now that I think about it could one buy a cheap Romanian kit and get the folding stock and the folder receiver and do it that way?? Granted you would have to buy the folding rear trunnion as well.

FYI Copes just got in some "virgin", never assembled Yugo M70 kits. A little pricey but a new gun... $450

He also shows some Romy fixed for $120 and less, and some Polish UF kits for $260.

I bought a M92 Krinkov kit and a M70 UF kit with the intentions of building them for myself. I ended up selling them both before I could work on them.

...actually, the same thing happened with my M72 RPK kits also. DANG IT!

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Yugo M70AB2 kit with reciever bought from Alaskagrown. Good kit at a good price from a good guy. The compliance parts, I got from Bill at Gear Shanty. I have several guys pestering me to sell everytime at the range. I appreciate all the help and info from all those that gave me input - Nalioth. Nothing but good about the guys on this forum or the dealings I've had with them.
And it bump fires real nice but can't afford ammo like that or locals calling the law for what sounds like FA fire.
