Thought I'd post it here... my wedding day is June 2nd...

That's only 2 WEEKS, 2 DAYS!

Its been a long time coming, we've been together for just over 6 years now (HS sweethearts :airtight:)...

I'm doing all I can to not think about it.

Got my AR coming, been doin all sorts of stuff lately for the Cetme, pistol shooting... I even went out today on my boat, and went fishing, after working all last night, and I have to work again tonight..........

Thought you guys would like to know, that I'll soon be carrying the same ball and chain many of you lug around.

what else can I do to occupy my time???

oh, well I decided today after I took the boat out, that I'd convert it from a fish'n'ski to just a fishing boat and deck the front, take out the rear bench, making it 2 captains chairs with a livewell between, and put in some swivel seats in the front and rear.... The boats been sitting outside in the weather for a couple years now, so the plywood in the seats needs to be replaced, and the whole thing needs to be re-apholstered (sp?)...

Then to top it off, we don't even have a place to live yet... But I found a nice house in Pflugerville for rent that looks like it could be the one...

keep me occupied... I gotta sleep...

out.

This is the best resource for marriage out there. Do like the Boy Scouts man...."BE PREPARED"...

Jimmy Evans is a down to earth guy. Check out a few minutes of his show from the "Watch On-Line" link.

Order a few of his resources. Don't cost much.

Congratulations amigo!

STOP, Run, hide..... Just kidding. I just celebrated my 12th anniversary this month and our third baby is due June 1(but may be earlier). As long as you are sure, jump in with both feet and have no worries. If you have lived together for a while, marriage is the same, just more paperwork if you change your mind later. :) Don't worry about it, it's really more fun being married.

I heard that the 1st 3 years of marriage dictate the years that follow. So make sure you lay down the law from the get go.

I normally would charge a gratuity for you having the pleasure of getting married on my favorite day of the year... but in this case I will make an exception...

May 8th made 5 years for me and "da wife"

June 2nd, will make 42 years of my happy self being here...

Married life can be fun.... even if others say run....

Congrats...

i hope you have as wonderful marriage as i have had.....:icon_biggrin:

a few rules of a good marriage.
1. tell her you love her before you leave the house and give her a kiss (everytime).
2. tell her you love her when you come home and give her a kiss (everytime).
3. tell her you love her before you go to sleep and give her a kiss (everytime).
4. when you get a chance, tell her you love her and give her a kiss.
5. buy her flowers when it is not a special time. flowers are cheap, but the benifit is great.

GOOD LUCK...

my wife and i will be married 40 years this sept.

Wish you and her the best, man.

"what else can I do to occupy my time???"
-->Don;t worry, she'll take care of that...if you find by some twist of fate that you still have some 'you' time, have some kids!

I had a good run at the marriage thang (total of 17yrs with her, 12 married), but having a daughter was one of the defining events in my life.

6. Tell her you love her three times, write her a poem, buy her flowers right before you buy that next must have rifle without telling her!

I tried to register at cabela's, but the better half wouldn't stand for it......... shot down again!

It's not too late to re-think this. Now is the time to be firm and see if you can get her plan for your "me" time. Just leave an open invite for her to come along any time. Tell her you are registering at Cabela's, she can register at her play store. That way you both get something you want. :) If you fold too easy this early, get used to it, it's all about compromise. :)

We needed to get our house outfitted before I got any more toys... and thats the truth...

She knew that all of my friends and family would much rather buy me that kinda stuff before buying me a pot or pan. I save the fun stuff for Xmas and B-days.

She's accepting of my habits, just doesnt care to do em with me... no big deal really, it gives me some alone time every now and then. We've been working out the bugs for over 6 years now, so we pretty much know eachother inside and out.

oh... 1 week 3 days!

Well, Congrats, I got 20 and counting. It usually works better if there's more "We time" than "Me time" And it's always better to give gifts of Flowers, Perfume or jewelry than anything "Practical or Cool"

I like the countdown to my birthday :)
Birthdays and marriage have one hting in common, they both are gonna leave you broke.... cause niether one is cheap.
Remember try to have fewer marriages than you have birthdays... My ratio right now is two marriages to 40 birthdays...

When my dad got remarried, they wrote their own vows. The priest knew them both pretty well and threw in a few comments my dad fed to him. He asked if she would cherish him "during grouse season, deer season, ice fishing season, walleye season, crappy season, and June." He's a huge outdoorsmen so it was pretty funny to hear. June is the only time when fishing is crappy and there's nothing to shoot.

Good luck in your marraige. Planning offered some good advice about the flowers. One thing to ask yourself when you screw up is: is this a flower screwup or a jewelry screw up. If you can answer that question right you'll be safe.

I didn't know men talked like that.

I'm going to tell the troops. One mystery solved; now if we can just figure out the refusing to ask directions thing, all will be good in the world.

Jordan should be in Disney World by now. Said he would have access to a computer. Where are yoooooooooooooou?
That's what I thought! When you read this just know that if you WERE on the old PC, there wouldn't be much need for the HINEYMOON.

ok, ok, you guys were right........ we brought the laptop, and didnt have time to use it.... though I really DID need to. Had a CC payment go a day late because we didn't get on the net to pay it. No biggie though.

Disneyworld was fun... much more fun than I expected, Ill admit it. Its kinda fun being a kid again.

It hasnt quite sunk in yet... the whole marriage thing. It still kinda feels just like a vacation out of town or something. Im sure it will hit soon.
