price check - Argentine 1909 Mauser

What are the Argie 1909 Mausers (not the carbines) going for these days? I saw one that had all matching numbers except for the stock, but had an intact crest on the receiver. Barrel was dark, but rifling looked OK. They were asking $300 for it.

I believe if its in great condition, and I do mean great condition, I might pay that much for one. Also because thats my motherland.

Also, if it has the Argentine Crest on it, snatch it in a hearbeat. Charge it if you must, because those are uber-collectible.

LOL. I remember using those words.... Uber-collectible, indeed, but the only thing is the dark bore. Not Yugo AK sewer pipe dark. More like Century CETME dark.
It's got the crest like the one pictured below.

I asked the shop owner to run a few patches down the bore so I could see what the darkness was all about. It was cosmoline, or some kind of thick oil. Underneath was nice bright metal.
