I sent this to project guns to be built from a parts kit. It looks awesome, you cant even see the welds unless you get it in the right light. Some people i was showing it to didnt even notice when i told them the receiver was a reweld. they saw the original markings and thought it was a real deal machine gun.

the finish is still the original except the receiver was refinished. Suprisingly the receiver color matches the top cover etc which is original bluing. This is a dfb 42 with all 42 dated parts.

Sweet Kevin! Congrats man! When is your first range trip?

Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine! The damn things are a work of machining art.

ill go saturday morning EARLY. Its been 100+ here each day this week. in the morning it will be in the 80's. I may stay out there a while to get the cosmoline cooked out of this. Its loaded with it from when it was a parts kit and i already cleaned it before i sent it to them. I have some israeli new chrome barrels i am tempted to try but not sure how to do headspace on this one either

im glad its all orig because i didnt like the looks of the TNW ones and this was less than half the cost to buy the kit and pay them to build it

do you run yours with lots of grease in the barrel "thread" area i am guessing they just put all the grease in their behind the chamber for breaking it in?

Yep, that grease needs to be there Kevin. I suggest a manual from www.germanmanuals.com . They are copies of the original, only in english.

I love mine. I even like it better than my F/A guns. To me the MG34 is exactly what a machine gun should look like. Enjoy man. Oh and remember use that tw25 (think thats what it is) grease and use alot of it
