link no workie for me but if those numbers are losses to their budget then thats kind of scary but given the economy you kind of have to expect budget cuts, and i think theyre gonna get bigger

Funny, the link works for me, if I click on it, but anyway, the problem is it's not the cuts, it's where the cuts are, other things get raised. Wit us pulling out of Iraq, and all the stuff going on down on the border, for them to cut this stuff is unbelievable.

I may be wrong but at a glance it looks like paper pushers are getting increases while all regarding enforcement are getting the cuts.

Link works fine for me. (This is a .pdf document; sometimes clicking on those slows my browser and other open programs down to a crawl, until it finishes downloading).

I agree, it IS a trend. But, OTOH, at this point, the guy has done so many "noteworthy" things, that it's impossible to look around and not see something horribly wrong, even it it wasn't intentional.... which it probably all IS.

If we could just get the rest of his administration to spend as much time on vacation as he does, instead of writing laws 'n things.... we'd all be better off.

I usually hang up on pollsters and opinion polls. Last night I got an automated one from the DNC. It asked questions about all the political races and who I would be most likely to vote for. You know,,,, the Press 1 if you are going to vote for the Democrat, press 2 If you are going to vote for the republican thing. They also had a press 3 for the tea party candidates. There were several races listed. The last question was "Do you approve of the job that President Obama and his administration have done since his election?" Press 1 for Yes, Press 2 for No. I pressed 2 repeatedly until my finger was tired, maybe two or three hundred times. It's fun to talk to a computer.

The current admin is all idiots, but in a way that is a good thing. If they keep shooting themselves in the feet, they won't have a leg to stand, come election time.

O's statement of allowing the mosque near ground zero is a great example. I just hope the idiots keep spouting off, and the press keeps reporting every word.

Then we can find out in November if the rest of the American electorate truly is stupid.

My old service, the USCG is forced to implement a Career Retention Board to consider mandatory retirement for enlisted personnel because of the cutbacks in their budget.

Although the President wants a certain budget level, it is the Congress who legislates who gets how much money...considering the Democrats control Congress the President just might get his way...scary.

Let's stop for a minute and review how the budget process works. First, you old guys remember Fiscal Year 1976? When Congress declared they were 3 months behind in the budget process and changed the FY from July-June to October-September so they would have a balanced budget to start the new FY? They didn't do it then and only once since 1976 did they ever approve the budget before 9/30.

Every year is a repeat of the previous year; Congress asks for budget input for outyears (2 years from now and beyond) from government departments. The first budget legislation they vote on are the Authorization Acts - federal law that says how many people, facilities, resources an agency has, what work they will do, and often when and where they will operate. Now say for an example, Congress presents the Coast Guard Authorization Act for 2011: they authorize 39,500 active duty personnel, 150 cutters (65' and bigger), 200 shore stations, and says they will do ice breaking, drug interdiction, alien migrant interdiction, maintain X# of aids to navigation, etc.

Then the same wonderful elected buffoons author and approve the Coast Guard Appropriation Act for 2011 - but wait, even though the Authorization Act says they have to do all those things, the Authorization Act only funds 85% of what is needed; and worse then that, maybe 70% of what the Coast Guard predicted they needed for what Congress authorized..

Now here's how much of a turd Congress is - they call the Commandant of the Coast Guard in for budget hearings and castigate the service (all of them) for not being able to do what Congress told them to do - and here's the rub: Congress will not allow the service chief(s) to say "but you didn't give me enough money in the appropriation act to do what you told me to do in the appropriation act.

Congress - 600 individuals trying to get rich off our tax dollars...

Remember it is going to be very important for guys like you and every American Citizen to go vote these people out of office. I know I probably don't need to say that to you, I just need to keep saying it for everybody to hear.
