I am having an issue and was wondering if anyone else had it. I already reduced the bushing, but it seems like the holes on the stock are just a bit too high like .02-.03, just enough for the pins not to work. My two cetme stocks work fine, but since I have the option, I'd like to be able to switch clothes now and then. I've tried it with the buffer out to make sure it wasn't that.

Any ideas? Not sure if it would be ok to enlarge the holes in the stock downward or not.

The issue you are experiencing may be due to the releif cuts on the rear end of the receiver. The cast SS receivers are a little bit thicker than the stamped metal ones, and in order for the buttstock to fit on, they had ot thin out the metal at th rear of the receiver. The CETME buttstock mounting bracket has a different cut to it than the G3 one, and the material that was removed from the receiver matches this pattern.

Fitting a G3 buttstock bracket onto a CETME cat SS receiver requires either to modiy the buttstock bracket to match the profile of the CETME one, or creating clearance for the G3 pattern on the receiver.

My recomendation is to modify the buttstock bracket. It is much easier than modifying the receiver, and hardly any one will notice the difference.
