They claim they are, but I found them hard to reuse more then once. Maybe if I went slower and was a lot more careful, I could have gotten 3 or 4 uses out of them.
where is the best place to buy duracoat? i would like to just get a camo kit but they dont offer the colors i need in any of the kits ive seen and the individual pricing seems way to high compared to the kit prices?

I got mine direct from http://lauerweaponry.com/ When shopping, look at how many ounces the bottles are. The two ounces bottles in the Multicam kit could do about 2 long guns if you are careful. Depending on how you shoot your patterns, 1 long gun may take all 2 ounces.
What pattern are you thinking?

This is where I get my stencils alot cheaper then Duracoats and I've had great service from them. http://bulldogarms.com/

I use the blue painters tape and wax paper and draw my own stencils out.

Tanker, what method os spraying did you use? Or I guess I should say what did you use as a propellant? Do you have a compressor? Or did you use those cans of compressed air connected to a small spray bottle?

I used a Kobolt compressor and $40 Lowes gravity fed paint gun. if I would have had my $10 harbor freight airbrushes, I would have used them.
+1 to the blue painters tape, I did some of that too.

+1 on the Harbor Fright airbrushes. Here's the one I use. Don't even clean the cups just throw them away. http://www.harborfreight.com/air-tools/paint/quick-change-airbrush-kit-93506.html

personally, im waaaay to impaitent to duracoat a whole firearm with an airbrush. iver tried airbrushing and it takes FOREVER. might be good for making a pattern, as in your case, but to lay down any color, i like to use the small gravity fed auto touch up guns to apply duracoat.
example, to paint just one side of an ak receiver, with the touch up gun, 2 passes in 5 sec. same area with an airbrush, about at least 8 passes and at least 5 min. i find on large parts, like an ak barreled receiver, when im going over it, the areas i start on are already to dry to blend to by the time i get all the way around it, not to mention the duracoat itself starting to harden if i mix enough to do a number of parts at one time.
