Hello to all, very new to the group here. Great site with tons of refreshing material to keep this newly retired Firefighter going. I live in Philadelphia PA and am retiring to Dover DE as soon as the bride is ready to pull the plug teaching. EX-Marine, 67-71 2nd Marine Airwing Mag 32 Beaufort SC, spent some time over on P.I. @ the rifle range whenever I could, qualified on the M-14 and have loved shooting ever since. Bought my First Ar-15 in 73 and I still have it, wish I had kept my 1903A3 but that's all water under the bridge. My last two buys were a Colt AR-15 Carbine 5.56 Law Enforcement only police change over and a CAI Cetme How to get to know many of you over the next few months. :America: Jon

Thanks Guys, I'm dying to get out to the range soon and try out my Cetme as well as my new Colt AR-15 carbine, both have a great appeal to me, as I love military type firearms as well reloading my own ammo where possible.
I'd really want to learn how to reload Berdan primed ammo as I have lots of good brass stuff in my stash. Semper Fi. Jon:America:

Welcome Sir. and thanks for your service!:America:
"SIR". I ain't no sir I was enlisted! E-5, But thanks for thinking of me as being "SIR". And thank you for saying thanks for my service, something I had never heard in 40 years after leaving the Marine Corps. I always like to hear my daughters new boyfriends call me Sir, lol. Of course I'm always cleaning one of my guns when we first meet, have to make the right impression, you know?:America: Love the site so far, tons of fantastic info to read.

Welcome, man!
I swear most firefighters I know are marines or rangers...my ranger buddy said it was the only thing that came close to his service, but he's an adrenaline junky thrill-seeker. :icon_biggrin:

Well it was as close as I could get because we always were together working 48 hr weeks with 10 and 14 hr shifts and we worked as a team, I have your back and you have mine. I had thought about the LEO thing but you are mainly on your own most of the time and I hate all the BS that they have to put up with Daily. After 31 years of being a firefighter and seeing both sides up close :icon_biggrin:I can tell you I made the right choice.
