Romanian RPK found

I have been searching for a while to find a Romanian PSL or RPK rifle. I have found one for $800 out the door that was imported as a parts kit and assembled by Tennessee Guns. I know I have heard mixed reviews about them. Can any one elaborate on their quality? I really want a rifle! The only Romanian built ones I can find are $1100 - $1200 currently. What would ya'll do? Get the TG built one and spend the other $300-$400 on ammo? Or should I stay away from Tennessee guns built ones and spend the rest to get a "quality one"?

I've never heard of Tennessee guns having anything to do with RPKs.

If you have found a Tn Guns PSL, go for it.

the dealer must mean FPK not RPK these are different rifles...........the fpk is the same as the romak-3, and psl

i have 2 of the FPK rifles and i like both of them. i don't think the $800 is a bad price anymore..

Their on website list it as a Dragunov FPK (sorry my goof). However it is a Romanian PSL they just use the other name to draw people's attentions I think. People are more likely to have heard of a Dragunov than a Romak-3 or PSL I guess.
So Tennessee guns builds are okay? I mean the photos make it look nice. I'm just new to these guns and will probably only be able to afford one....so I want to make sure its a nice one.

Dang it. I just got a call from Centerfire Systems that my parts kit and reciever were ready to ship. I was beinning to lose faith in them. Which would you all recommend. Building it myself (I've built AKs, Cetme, and FALs before) or getting the Tennessee Gun built one. Or should I order both and put one up for sale here after I decide which I like more?
