I seem to be having a rather bad run of luck with recent firearm purchases lately
The vz 58 I have doesn't always reset the trigger and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I don't know all the names of the parts in the trigger pack but it looks like there might be some wear on a couple of pieces. The tube that drives the firing pin and the cog that holds it back. I'm just quessing here. Where can you buy parts for these?
Thanks

if its built with ORF parts, first place i`d check is the O.D. of the gas piston, some of the U.S pistons are undersized, also take the spring out of the piston and put the piston back in and make sure it moves freely, sounds like it might be short cycling, piston O.D size should be around .470

If I recall correctly there were some issues with the sear not catching and the striker would follow the carrier forward. The fix was to weld a plate onto the carrier which holds the sear down longer or in a more positive manner. I have a friend with one of the newer ones that has this feature and it never fails. My hybrid has a checkpoint fcg and fails to catch every now and then. I need to get the dimensions and exact location off of his to do it to mine.
The checkpoint fcg is not anywhere near as stout as the orf. The orf fcg can be identified by the wider sear w/roll pin and the U-shaped disconnector.
