New to the board

Hey!

I'm new to this board. I have a variety of military arms in my collection. I've got ARs, AKs, SKSs, Mosin Nagants. I've got an Enfield, an M1A an FAL, etc. I've also got CETME, which is why I'm here.

She's a Century build with a messed up (canted) rear sight. A few years back there was a grind and shim method of fixing the deficiency and making serviceable the rifle. I didn't take not back then when I should have and now require the detailed procedure. Any help y'all can give me would be most appreciated!

As far as shimming the rear sight, guys would grind one side of the rear sight to get it to move either left or right. Then they would take up the slack with a washer.

Since it was welded on crooked, you might want to consider cutting the 4 welds and moving it.

sure its the rear, and not the front thats canted?
