THis is a report from two weekends ago. I found one of the buddies we shot with posted pix on MySpace, so I posted those pix.
We went to Wavleland Gun Club, between Waveland, IN and Shades State Park. 3bux buys you all day, and I rarely see more than 6-10 folks there. They have all sortsa skeet and trap, pistol range, etc, but we use the 100-200-300yd rifle range.
We had paper to shoot, and some rubber 'mannequin' heads form a beauty school to shoot, too. When the students are done cutting hair in school, the dummy head is totally bald...and they dispose of them. They gave use about 10. They really stand up to the pelting nicely.
THe rifles we fired were Trevor's drag-stocked in-ban WASR hi-cap, and my WASR hi-cap post-ban, Mosin M-44 (1944 Izhvesk), M-91/30 (1938 Tula), Yugo SKS, and CETME mod C with the Mod B forend and bipod.
In this pic, you can see the heads upper left, and the 'drivers' on the table. (sorry, shooting is my golf, and I use the term 'drivers' for guns and 'driving range' for shooting range in some company...it is a nice insode joke).

Trevor on the in-ban WASR Hi-cap, with some of the heads yet to be placed. Note the CETME with mod B hardware on the right.

Nick on the in-ban WASR Hi-cap, shootin heads at 100 yds...while smokin.

Matthew on the CETME, right after the shot (still the smoke), realizing that the bench is too high for him. We got him on a picnic table with a few more points of contact, and he was zippin heads at 200ds no prob after that.

Me getting up after collecting brass from a course of 10 rounds thru the Mosin at 300yds. Good view of all Matt's camera equipment. (thanks to him, we had pix fer a change!).

The menu for the rifles was:
140rounds 762x54r
160rnds 762x51NATO
660rnds 762x39
And they ate it all like good lil rifles.
