I bought a C93 from Atlantic Firearms off Gunbroker and it came in today. I must say that I am very pleased with it so far. It is one of the newer models with parkerized finish and welds are clean. It came with a magazine which appeared new and another one that had some wear. I was very surprised to find a good condition bayonet in the box as well (that wasn't advertised). The only thing missing was a sling and I had a G3 leather sling left over from my CETME days. Gap is .012 and I will add a set of +4 rollers to it. It hasn't been to the range yet so I can't vouch for function...fit is nice and tight. I have had very good luck with Century builds so far...have a SAR-2, Galil, and had a CETME (which I regret having parted with). No problems with any of them and I pray to the Monkey Gods that my run of luck continues. I already have the modified wood G3 stock set and if I win the lottery, I want to pick up a slim forend.
This is a great site and I was on it's predecessor quite a bit when I was a CETME owner. It's great to be back!...Bill G

Does yours have the smooth or textured pistol grip?

Hopefully it runs without any hiccups. I've always wanted one myself. I remember when the very first ones were being offered at a few select shops and they were selling for 900-1,000+.

Welcome back to the site, and congrats on the C93. I have one and love it. Super accurate and cool as hell to shoot.

Good deal.

I think Century may be on the path to improvement. Their latest generation of firearms are actually pretty decent IMO. Maybe they can pull through like Entreprise Arms did.
Keep us posted when you get it out to the range.
I finally had some range time to do some R&D with my G3 kit build. As predicted
I ran into some issues with the bolt carrier hanging up in the Receiver or the bolt head on the ejector. I also took my C93 with me in case the G3 wouldn't function.
Right from the box to the range the C93 ran well. I ran a couple of patches down the bore before shooting and it functions perfectly. I did not spend to much time (only about 60 rounds) with it, but I wanted to get a feel for it.
I will keep a round count on this gun for a while to be able to check gap issues
if (which they probably will) start to be a concern.[fingers crossed]
I would advise you to watch your bolt gap as well.
The only thing that I noticed is that it really did not eject the brass very far as compared to Hk's that I have owned. It only went out about 4 to 5 feet and not the usual 10 + as with an Hk. I haven't looked into that as of yet, not that big of a concern right now. I have to get the G3 working first.
Good luck on your new toy, "PUT THAT WOOD ON"

The new C93 in wood. I couldn't get the forend to fit with the carry handle so I removed it.

If you want to use the carry handle, you have to modify the hand guard to fit.
Here's what I did, hope this helps. Of course the amount you have to remove depends on your particular application. Modified (left), Original (right).
That wood looks familiar, did you get that off GB?

you can bend the tangs of the carry handle around the cocking tube also.
in there natural state they hang down, but if you form fit them around the tube then you dont have to mod the handguards

I have a question, and thinking about ordering one.
Which one is a better build, the parked ones or the painted ones? And why is one better than the other?:icon_neutral:

The real answer is which version was better assembled with good welds and properly pressed barrel - regardless of cosmetics - so that bolt-gap doesn't dissappear after 300 rds.
I don't think we are getting those kinds of factoids from C93 posters.
I like my C93, but I'm a realist - its an improperly-assembled POS. It is back at Century to see if it can be repaired. If not, I have to spend to have it done right.
It shoots fantastic, so it is worth it to me.

Thanks! PM'd you on the steel lower.

That's a good point. If you have enough clearance that would be great. In my case the hand guard fits real snug against the cocking tube and would not work for my application.
