Just got the call today, my FN FS 2000 rifle is in.....
Looks like I am gonna be broke this year.... There is a reason they call it the FS 2000 cause it costs damn near that much....
Pics as promised::party::party::party::party::party:
The rifle and it's accessories:
Notice the M16 cleaning kit they include... and sight/maint tools. Wish they would have included a sling and a bayonet lug. But my guess is the rifle is not strong enough for a bayonet assault.
Picture#7 is the take down button. One button does it all.
The bolt carrier/operating rod assembly is a cross between an M16 and a M249 SAW. and similar to a cetme:thumbup:
Picture 12 is the hammer assembly, mostly plastic.
Picture 14 is the chamber on bottom, extraction chute on top.
Picture 15 is the ejection port for spent brass, the brass "floats" down the chute and drops out.
If anyone has any questions I can try and answer them, it ain't been fired yet....
Slightly less than 2K in cost, only good thing is that it uses M16 Magazines, and 5.56 ammo.... should be pretty easy on the ammo.
Mag well is tight as all heck, mag locks in good, won't fall out.
Rifle seems pretty tight all around, got to get a sight because all it has is the flip up rear back up sight.
